RAVENOL New DTM Trophy Series Partner
- Multi-year agreement with Ravensberger Schmierstoffvertrieb GmbH
- Logo presence on the number plate surfaces of the production-based GT sports cars
- Junior race series to feature on seven race weekends – SPORT1 to broadcast live
RAVENOL is a new DTM Trophy series partner. Ravensberger Schmierstoffvertrieb GmbH and the DTM organisation ITR have reached a multi-year agreement concerning the official lubricant partnership. On the production-based GT sports cars in the DTM Trophy, the RAVENOL logo will be visible on the front and rear number plate surfaces as well as during prize-giving ceremonies and press conferences.
RAVENOL has been established in motorsport for many years and is involved as a technical partner of many international and national race series, as well as numerous race teams also on the DTM platform. In direct cooperation with manufacturers, the company based in Werther in Westfalia, is developing specific lubricants especially for those engines and transmissions that meet the high requirements and withstand the huge loads in motorsport. Ravensberger Schmierstoffvertrieb GmbH has been producing high-performance lubricants under the RAVENOL brand name since 1946 already.
“I am very much looking forward to the cooperation with ITR within the DTM Trophy. Like in DTM, RAVENOL partners are racing with competition cars of various brands in a much-noticed race series here. Therefore, we are supporting the platform and are supplying our teams with high-performance lubricants,” RAVENOL’s motorsport director Martin Huning says.
Successfully introduced last season, the DTM Trophy is held on seven weekends with two races each. The venue for the season opener is the Royal Park of Monza in Italy from June 18-20. For the first time, SPORT1 will be broadcasting all the DTM Trophy races live. Moreover, next to the races, the practice and qualifying sessions can also be watched live worldwide on the grid.dtm.com online portal.
