Five Consecutive Wins for Lance Stroll in the FIA F3 European Championship
Lance Stroll left the FIA Formula 3 European Championship stage with five consecutive wins, three of them in the final race meeting of the season at Hockenheim. In the final race, the Canadian Prema Powerteam driver was joined on the podium by Sweden’s Joel Eriksson and Briton Jake Hughes. Stroll’s team-mate Nick Cassidy finished fourth.
Stroll concluded the season as superior overall winner. And in the battle for the team title, his squad, Prema, also prevailed, with Hitech GP and Motopark finishing second and third respectively.
The 2016 FIA Formula 3 European Championship season was contested at 10 circuits – with RAVENOL as series partner. The highly attractive young-gun series offers drivers the perfect possibility to make the next steps on the motor-racing ladder to categories such as the GP2 Series or – possibly later – DTM and Formula One. The best examples for F3 drivers who made it to the pinnacle of motor racing are World Champions Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel who both learned their trade in the Formula 3 Euro series, the predecessor of today’s European Championship.
After each race weekend of the season, the sports channel Eurosport brings the FIA Formula 3 Magazine, featuring a review of the past race meeting. In addition to the highlights of the three races of the respective weekend, the magazine is packed with background features, interviews, driver portraits, and technology features.
Since 2014, RAVENOL has been official Partner of the FIA Formula 3 EC and in 2016, this partnership was extended to ‘Official Lubricant and Car Care Product Partner’ of the FIA F3 European Championship. The RAVENOL lubricants have officially been put down in the FIA Formula 3 EC regulations. This means that all the teams may contest the season with motor-racing lubricants such as RAVENOL RSS 10W-60 (engine), RAVENOL Racing Gearoil (gearbox) and RAVENOL Racing Brake Fluid R325+.
