As usual, the Essen Motor Show is held from late November to early December – and once again, the event arguably had attracted far more than 350,000 visitors when it closed its gates yesterday. In the halls, exhibitors from the automobile, motor-racing and tuning worlds showcased themselves and their products. Racetracks and series also were represented, and some already began publishing their calendars for the 2017 season.

Many of the racing cars that could be admired by the visitors were those from teams that have been relying on the high-performance RAVENOL lubricants from Werther, Germany for many years. Hall 6 also provided the visitors an impression of the race series DMV GTC, the DTC Series, the Special Touring Car Trophy and the DMV NES 500 (National Endurance Series). Another highlight in hall 6 was the team that ran in VLN, Farnbacher Racing. Meanwhile, the ‘Drift Team Turbogarage’ was power-sliding in hall 7 where three-time European Truck Champion also showcased his racing truck. Another truck could be found in hall three in the ADAC booth which also featured several racing cars ‘Lubricated by RAVENOL’: The TCR-Honda of Target Competition, the Audi R8 LMS of Phoenix-Racing, a Formula 4 vehicle of Team Van Amersfoort Racing or the vehicle – that was unveiled on the Preview Day – the new ADAC Kart Academy that also is a new technology partner of RAVENOL. Hall 3 also highlighted RAVENOL’s involvement in rallying: the OPEL Adam vehicles for the ‘ADAC OPEL Rallye Cup’ and the FIA ERC as well as a Mitsubishi and a Hyundai of Gassner Motorsport. Team Germany Motorsport was represented by a Formula racing boat – and a Toyota GT 86 decorated the booth of HJS.
