RAVENOL and AMG-Team HTP-Motorsport Opt for Technical Cooperation
Within the scope of the Nürburgring 24h Race, Ravensberger Schmierstoffvertrieb GmbH and AMG-Team HTP-Motorsport sealed a technical cooperation. The squad around Team Principal Norbert Brückner that is based in Altendienz, Rhineland, runs AMG GT3 vehicles equipped with 500bhp 6.3-litre V8 engines in endurance racing. The power is transmitted via a sequential six-speed gearbox that is mounted in the trans-axle design at the rear axle. The goal of the team’s cooperation with the renowned lubricant manufacturer from Werther, Germany: the use and enhancement of the motor-racing lubricants in GT racing. “AMG – Team HTP-Motorsport can look back on many years of experience in GT racing and has been and is very successful in the ADAC GT Masters and VLN. And the Mercedes works drivers again and again were involved in these successes by securing very good results.” said Martin Huning, RAVENOL's Director of Motorsports. “I think that we will cooperate both successfully in motor racing as well as – in the interim – get a good input for the new product development and enhancement of our products, in the future.” The appearance in the Nürburgring 24h Race with the closest finish of all time already meant a successful start into the new partnership, with AMG – Team HTP Motorsport finishing second in the extremely thrilling event after a flawless performance twice around the clock.
